3. IRCE: Forward Mobility. February 10-12, 2014

5. SXSW Interactive - March 7-16, 2014

This massive annual conference explores the intersection of traditional advertising and technology, with a result that’s all things digital marketers need to succeed. Nearly 10,000 professionals gather each year in San Francisco for education, and the famous “Hubbies awards” for excellence in internet marketing.
The Social Media Examiner’s annual conference always achieves the perfect balance of fun and education. Held in sunny San Diego, California, there’s plenty of time with networking with digital marketers from around the world - including on a cruise or in an aircraft carrier. 10. DemandCon - April 15-16, 2014

Individuals with a strong grasp of SEO and content marketing principles should consider a flight to Seattle for this conference that’s tailored to the digitally-fluent. Co-sponsored by Danny Sullivan of Search Engine land, it’s a hub of marketing executives and thought leaders. There are few conferences with more “fun” activities planned than Moz (formerly SEOMoz’s) annual show. You can expect to hear the ever-entertaining Rand Fishkin, Annie Cushing, Wil Reynolds - and gain access to an almost-unlimited supply of cupcakes. The conference is well worth the trip to Seattle.
HubSpot’s annual gathering of digital marketers is much bigger than the organization’s software. The 2013 edition at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston drew 5,300 marketers, and a roster of luminaries including Seth Godin, Gary Vaynerchuk, Ann Handley, Arianna Huffington, and more. While the focus is definitely on the latest inbound marketing strategies, tactics, and theories, there’s plenty of fun here, too - including a concert!

Undoubtedly the best-known conference for digital marketers with a content specialty is Content Marketing World, an annual production of the Content Marketing Institute. Last year’s show included Joe Pulizzi, Lee Odden, and Michael Brenner - and there’s no doubt that this year will be even bigger!
15. DMA Annual Conference - October 27-29, 2014
The Direct Marketing Association sponsors the largest gathering of data-driven marketers, planned for late October in San Diego. Speakers will be finalized in late February, but digital marketers can anticipate plenty of innovative content, including round-table discussions, opportunities to speak individually with leading marketers, and master classes.
