How long does it take for seo to work?

This is one of the most challenging questions for SEO agencies to answer: How long does it take for a business to see sales growth from organic or local SEO?

I’ve been working on my website’s SEO for a few months but haven’t noticed significant improvement in rankings. Is this normal, or could I be doing something wrong?

You may start noticing initial signs of impact within 2 weeks to a month. After around 2 months, you’ll have a better sense of whether your SEO strategy is effective. At that point, it could be worth considering adjustments.

I tell my SEO clients they can expect noticeable results within 3 to 6 months. The timeframe depends on the competitiveness of the industry, the quality of website optimization, and the consistency of efforts. SEO is a long-term process that takes time to produce results. While some improvements may appear sooner, backlinks often take longer to be crawled and indexed by search engines.

It depends on several factors. You should start seeing some ranking results fairly quickly, even if they are low on the search results, as long as you've done your research and applied basic SEO.

However, ranking high and getting actual traffic is a different challenge and also depends on various factors. For example, I have a 10-month-old car review site, which is a competitive niche, and I get around 450 clicks a month from Google and about 100 from images. Although my image impressions are four times higher than my web clicks, the click-through rate (CTR) is quite poor.

It's a tough question to answer because each site is unique in many ways.
