What is the best AI tool for creative writing?

I use the latest version of ChatGPT as a creative writing assistant for my literature course. However, I’ve heard that Google Gemini might be better for this purpose. Are there any other tools you would recommend? What tips or advice can you offer to get the most out of them?

Sudowrite is great for developing ideas and improving your writing style. ChatGPT also works well if you give it a clear tone or style to follow. Use AI as a helpful tool, but don’t let it take over. Keep your own voice strong.

I wrote an entire eBook using ChatGPT with very little effort. I simply reviewed what it gave me, made a few small edits, and it turned out great! You do need to write clear prompts, though. I don’t have many tips, but the clearer your prompt is for ChatGPT, the better the results will be.

I think Claude is great for creative writing. I mostly use it for marketing, not literature assignments, but it writes in a way that doesn't feel like AI. Try it out and see how it goes!

ChatGPT Plus is one of the most powerful chatbots available. It offers a wide range of features, uses some of OpenAI's most advanced language models, and includes extra tools that are especially useful for writers.

The main drawback is similar to most other chatbots - it blocks certain NSFW content. If you write erotica or highly gory scenes, you may need a different tool.

I've found that many GPT models don’t produce the most readable prose. The writing can be overly fancy, wordy, or dramatic. Some updates, like the 11-20-2024 GPT-4o "creative writing update," have improved this. However, I think other chatbots, such as Claude or Gemini, are still better than ChatGPT's GPT models for creative writing.
